GENERAL SAN MARTIN PROMENADE
Activities for families with under 12’s, including play equipment, beach sports and family fun such as trampolines, bouncy castles, beach soccer and volleyball and other competitions. All these are situated close to Boulogne sur Mer’s city swimming pool. During July and August the summer play activity team are there to welcome the young ones. The Boulogne sur Mer Sand Yachting Club can provide you with a way of enjoying the expanse of the beach in a fun and sporty fashion. Surf walking :
This is an unusual way to enjoy the beach invented by a local man! The idea is to walk on the sand along the seashore with the water up to your chest with the aid of hand paddles to help you along
The beach library
In the summer season the beach can be a place to enjoy reading a good book. The beach library is a sub-branch of the city library and is open daily from 14-18h during July and August, and on Wednesdays and Saturdays in September.
The city’s beach activity service offers: rental of beach huts, deck-chairs, parasols, tent parasols, lockers and beach towels.
You can get to the beach by car or on foot. There is a free car park along the Boulevard Sainte Beuve.
Free public toilets are situated behind the city swimming pool and are open during July and August
