The fresh fish stands are located close to the Marguet bridge and are open daily, weather permitting. They have contributed a good deal to the life of the city centre under the benevolent gaze of Boulogne-sur-Mer’s twin giants “Batisse” and “Zabelle”.

Take a walk along the Promenade Jean Muselet from the Marguet Bridge towards the Nausicaa gardens. The stroll will take you past all the seafood stands and providing you with a splendid view overt the port.

Ocean Festival (fete de la mer)

Since 1998 the city of Boulogne-sur-Mer, in partnership with the Regional federation for maritime and cultural heritage organises a biannual event, the Ocean festival. It takes place along the length of the Quai Gambetta and includes festivities, entertainment and exhibitions on the maritime theme. Don’t miss this opportunity to discover Boulogne-sur-Mer’s maritime culture amid a fun atmosphere. The next edition is due in 2015.
